Josh Barfield
Cleveland Indians infielder -  Barfield, a second basemen for the ALDS Champions, had the second highest number of stolen bases amongst National League rookies in 2006 after compiling a total of 21 stolen bases.  Barfield was also a top five finish for the 2006 National League Rookie of the Year

Ryan Braun
Milwaukee Brewers infielder -  Ending on an impressive season of a .324 BA, .624 SLG, and 34 HR, Braun, a third baseman for the Brewers, has earned the honors of the "2007 Jackie Robinson NL Rookie of the Year!"   Braun edged shortstop Troy Tulowitzki of Colorado for the win.

In addition to his impressive NL "Rookie of the Year" win, Braun was denoted the "Baseball America Rookie of the Year"  title as well as Major League Baseball Player's Choice Award. 

Jerry Owens
Chicago White Sox Outfielder - Owens, a centerfielder for the Sox, cemented his place as a 2008 starting centerfielder due to his impressive campaign in 2007.  The 2007 statistics featured a .267 batting average with 32 stolen bases and a .991 fielding percentage.

Steve Ruzich
South Suburban Coach  - Named the Head Baseball Coach at South Suburban in 1987 where he has a winning record of 737 wins and 398 losses.  His impressive record additionally includes 5 Sectional Championships, 7 Regional Championships, 8 Regional Runner-Up Finishes, and 6th & 9th place finishes at the JUCO World Series.  His successful record has garnered him “N4C Coach of the Year,” ” Regional IV Coach of the Year” for 4 years, Great Lakes and Diamond District “Coach of the Year,”, and “College Coach of the Year” from the Pitch & Hit Club. Dan Hartleb
University of Illinois Head Coach - 2008 marks Hartleb’s third season as head coach at Illinois and 18th season on the Illini coaching staff, after coaching under Hall of Fame Coach Richard “Itch” Jones for 15 years.

Hartleb is reputed to be one of the most successful NCAA Coaches after recruiting and developing an impressive 53 professional players, 24 All-Americans, 3 Big Ten Pitchers of the Year, 6 Freshman All-Americans, and facilitated the development of 84 All-Conference selections.

Renowned Hitting Instructor - Doran, a former baseball player, has worked with some of the great athletes of today including players on the Chicago White Sox.
